During the hot summer of 2005 in small-town Ontario, thirteen year old Nora cares for her younger siblings in place of her absent parents. When she gets her first job at a landscaping company, a new romance and a chance at gender euphoria force her to choose between remaining the rock her family needs, or chasing a truer version of herself.
